Cancel subscription

If you want to cancel your subscription, we want to thank you for the time you have been a customer with us, and we hope to see you again soon. On this page, we go through how to turn off your automatic payments, delete a profile, and/or delete your user account.

Turn off automatic payments

By turning off automatic payments, your subscription is still active, but it may expire if no manual payments are made.

To do this, go to the control panel and the Subscription tab. There you can simply choose to turn off automatic payments by ticking the box "Pay invoices manually". Any unpaid invoices will not be paid automatically, and when your activation period has ended, the page will expire. No reminders, late fees, interest, or similar charges will be added for unpaid invoices.

Cancel subscription

By cancelling your subscription, you keep both your user profile and your landing page, but automatic payments are turned off. This means the page will remain available to your customers until the date you have paid for, and will then be deactivated. The page will be kept, and you can choose to reactivate it at any time.

You can cancel your subscription by clicking the red button labeled "Cancel subscription". You can also find it under the Subscription tab in the control panel. There you can choose a reason for cancelling your subscription and write your own text if you want. We appreciate you taking the time to fill this in so we can improve the service in the future. This turns off automatic payments, as described above. No new invoices will be created, and your subscription will expire when the activation period ends.

Delete a profile

By "profile" we mean the landing page, your "mini website" that you link to from your bio. You can delete a profile, but this happens immediately. If you still have paid time remaining on your subscription, the deletion will not happen on that date, but immediately when you choose to delete the profile. You also cannot get a monetary refund for the remaining time on your subscription. This cannot be undone.

To do this, go to the Settings tab and choose the profile you want to delete. You choose the profile on the right on desktop, or at the top of the page on mobile. Once you have chosen a profile, scroll to the bottom and you will find a button labeled "Do you want to delete this profile?" Keep in mind: If you are deleting the profile because you want to change the linked address, for example lank.bio/yourstore, you can change an existing page’s address under settings. You do not need to delete the profile and create a new one for this.

Delete user account

You can also choose to delete the user account that you log in to the control panel with. To prevent "ghost pages" that nobody administers, you may need to transfer your profiles/landing pages to other people. If several people manage the same profile, but only you are an administrator, you need to make at least one other person an administrator for the page before you can delete your user account.

You delete your user account by going to the Settings tab. You do not need to select a profile; your own user settings are shown first. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Do you want to delete your user?".

Personal data

When you delete your profiles and/or user account, all personal data we have stored about you is deleted, including any saved payment cards with Stripe (our payment provider). However, Länk.bio creates automatic backups every day, which are retained for up to 14 days. Your personal data may remain in those backups, but for no longer than two weeks after deletion. Please read more about how we handle personal data in our terms of use.
